NZSSE ROCKET LEAGUE TOURNAMENT WEEK 1 ROUND-UP

A COMPETITIVE KICK-OFF!

The NZ Secondary Schools Esports (NZSSE) Rocket League Tournament has officially begun, with teams from schools all over New Zealand competing in this popular esports title. Week 1 was a thrilling spectacle, showcasing some of the best young talents in the country. We’ve got all the details for you right here!

Strong Starters

Several schools made a powerful first impression, grabbing victories in their opening matches. Kuranui College’s KC KererÅ«, St Johns College’s SJC Eagles, and New Plymouth Boys’ High’s NPBHS Bandits and NPBHS Offense were among the standout performers.

Skilful Showdowns

Teams such as Kings High School’s Kings ‘Tap Dat’ and Saint Kevin’s College’s St Kevin’s FIRE didn’t hold back, engaging in aggressive plays and strategic manoeuvres that had fans on the edge of their seats.

Teamwork Triumphs

Mount Roskill Grammar School’s MRGS Rocket League and Whangarei Boys’ High School’s Black Unicorn demonstrated the power of teamwork, their synchronised plays leading them to decisive victories.

Spectacular Performances

Teams from Rangitoto College, Wairarapa College, Wellington College, Christchurch Boys’ High School, Ashburton College, Hamilton Boys’ High School, and Macleans College all brought their A-game to the tournament. Their spectacular performances in Week 1 have set a high bar for the rest of the season.

Looking Forward
